Project Description:
A modern SharePoint Online Communication site with custom theme and a combination of custom and OOTB web parts to facilitates the functionality. The office locations are spread across multiple countries having thousands of employees, this intranet presents a common platform for collaboration for all employees to work effectively.

The OOTB web parts are used for Video, News highlights, Popular resources, and Time zones whereas custom SPFx web parts were developed for My news and Request submissions.
My News:
This web part retrieves news posts from the configured source site and shows the first four company-wide news posts and below these posts it shows a control to select the country to see the country specific news posts. Content admin distinguishes company-wide vs country-specific news with the help of a custom field.
Request submissions:
This web part allows visitors to submit the requests that go to the email address configured in the web part properties. Visitors can submit requests to add any feature or functionality that will add more value to the intranet, or they can submit new ideas for intranet.
